I sat thinking
"this is peace"
When all it was-
complacency-
and just a thought
of you in knock
I spew the keys
to every lock
kicking off
the boats in dock

Complete in contemplation.

Just the thought
of you as mine
even for one night
entwined
change my water
into wine--

Complete the transformation.

I cannot lucidly compete
my mind not disciplined
to think
and cast you from
within my realm
there is no pilot
at the helm

Complete the consummation.

Directionless
when I hear
the whisper of
your voice in ear
every hair antenna
splayed,
every word you say,
I've prayed.

Complete, in my salvation.
