Collections of Life

I must empty my home of my memories old
will be ridding collections, too.
My villages loved, but boxed for the now,
will be given to someone new.

So hard it will be, to remove all things loved,
but material, they have all been.
And the need to move on, and replace all the old
is my now, as each sunrise begins.

No one had mentioned,'twould be easy in life,
although promised "forevers" were said.
I have learned it's a lie, and accepted as is
for all practical purpose it's dead.

I am negative, not, just realistically true
as lessons I'm learning today.
Idealistic, once was, in a fairy tale life
and now know that's never the way.

This gift, I remember my 25th year,
that photo, when made a new aunt.
That vase held a rose of the loveliest shade,
now their meanings are given new slant.

The teddy bear sewing, the angel in white
attached to the top of my tree.
The porcelain doll in her wedding dress, cream,
all memories once gifted to me.

Collections of life, my home in it's all,
passe', as my eyes tear their thoughts.
So much to be rid of, to empty my sad
of the memories, of moments once sought.

Too much, too many, the objects of love,
so few, that now mean anything.
Thirty plus years to be emptied in one.
I will carry forever, it's sting.

But my Tree of Hope waits, with it's angels of glass
still up in my dining room bay.
I promised myself, that 'til visitors come
it remains where it stands, 'til that day.

Angels and crystals of burgundy, mauve,
golden the stars in their shine,
waiting for someone to brighten my nights
and share in my world, redesigned.

Sometimes when I can't sleep, like this evening, i go through old things...this made me sad.

Life is quite sad at the moment, and until I get certain things accomplished, I can't move ahead of my past..Thank you  huggzzzzzzzz in return *s

VAS, Krawdad
Thank you both, I only write from true feelings and happenings..whether wishful doubtful or the now

Well I often have stomach pain, that comes with me always, but it's the  pain in the heart that kills the spirit. Thank you for reading and responding

Who is that angel then, I definitely need one on my shoulder. Thank you for always paying me some attention
