Of Being.

An innocent lust for knowledge
An infants joy of discovery
The guiding yet cursing hand
of someone you love.

The time for absorbing
eyes open and gathering
playing with the building blocks of life.

Days grow long
Darkness all round
The sun still shining
My eyes closing I had found.

No feeling of losing
No feeling of pain
An image so real
but never the same.

Prison of emotions
bound and condemned
Unable to escape or share
This person bearing qualities
Of themself did not care.

Looking down the barrel
Looking to make it end
One action and pull back
The soul and lifes breath from the body
a dark place it to send.

Trying to recover
an unknown unshared love
To be seen and to be heard
To be my best, to succeed
and not knowing how.

By chance or fate to meet
The chance to show
A chance to try to be
Losing the chance to grow.

A lifetime of trials not always won
The love forgotten so willing to now share
to make the nexts'life better
Comfort and giving
the boundaries unaware.

Natural blessings of friendship
of love, trust and the new day
Existing today I look back
and now forward tommorrow
I shall make my way.
