On the Chin / You Win?

If I take it on the chin
how does that translate to win?

If I think that must be smart
is it worth the cost - cold heart?

If I stay with pain, remain
won't my heart continue drain?

If I seek my happiness
must it be with your redress?

If I meet your dearest need
will you then to mine accede?

If I take my leave of you
will that choice my life renew?

If instead it's on the chin
how does that translate, you win?

bslicker - Huh?  Sorry, missed your post before you edited it.

Kit - Thanks for the "excellent".  Glad you enjoyed this.  The muse has been sullen of late . . . too much thinking, maybe?
