Slippery Floors

the floor is slippery
and you may fall
if you get
to dance at all
for if you wear
cement shoes
the music plays
again you lose
tied behind
the bedroom door
does not leave you
much to explore
and am I that
hard to tame
so exhausted
from this flame
and all that
you feel you are
just leaves you
with another scar
and the ramblings
that I dread
are more than words
within my head
but how can you miss
what you don’t know
can you breathe
in that flow
and all the things
you can not explain
does not cover you
from the pain

nothing covers the pain, sometimes does it?
I felt this one.

There is a bit of a daring, almost taunting flavor to this piece. I enjoyed it very much.
