I must say, I've had a wonderful time reading and responding to such incredible poetry this weekend. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their wonderful friendship and beautiful poetry. I've enjoyed each and every post!  You're an amazingly talented group of poets, and I'm so pleased to have discovered this wonderful haven!

... sigh ... (just feeling very grateful today) ...

The Writings of My Heart

With thoughts upon my mind, I try
To utter words a'new,
Attempts to speak unwritten notions,
Yet I gather few.

Articulation falters swiftly,
Stalled amongst the tide,
A cataclysmic undertaking,
Once again denied.

How could it be, you render speechless
All I wish declared,
Expression flows in adoration,
Yet I'm unprepared.

Disclosed within the depths I seek
The writings of my heart,
I wish to raise the words to surface,
Where they can depart.

'Neath hidden terms of adulation,
Thoughts I'm dreaming of,
Churn quietly below the shallows,
Rapt in warmth of love.

And yet, expression lingers softly,
Halts ascending climb,
Withheld from verbalized display,
To hover over time.

No exclamation can declare
Emotions of my soul,
For swiftly, words escape my meaning,
Lost, beyond control.

And so until expression rises
From these lips exhaled,
I urge you, look into these eyes
Where all will be unveiled.

Through portals of my soul you'll find
In rich, unfettered view,
These words I try in vain to speak …
Are waiting here for "you".

Kit~

How many times you've touched my heart
with thoughts you swirled my way~
Each and every thing you write
is first-class all the way~

You've penned 6000 replies
in a tad short of a year~
Keep it up and you can double
that amount by this time next year~

You're a sweetie and thank you for being you !
Congratulations, hon !

It has been a special weekend, I must admit
I've read many thoughts, by so many talented poets and replied to many of them ... wish I had the time to reply to all, because they sure deserve the praise.
You certainly fall right into the light of high esteem, with poetry such as this, too.
Congrats to you Kit, keep em brewing

Heya Kitty!  It's me, the brat from Teen #4!
I just dropped in to read your poem, I must say you did a marvelous job!  The meter and flow are excellent, it read wonderfully.  You are a technical genius, perhaps even greater than I.  Ok, ok, now I'm exaggerating.
Wonderful job!  See you in Teen #4!

You know, I read one of your poems when I too found this place, and went to the archives one night and read them all, and as I read I wondered how it was that someone could get better with each piece of poetry, as they were flawless from the very first one I read.  I guess Kit that you were born with a gift, and I am just so grateful you share it here with us.  I look forward to 6,000 more of your combined poems and posts, as your comments are as nice as your poetry too.  Congratulations, and again, thank you for moving me in a way few do. Happy Easter too
