I am moonlit stones
near the edge of water.
I am the floodplain,
the highest plateau.
I am the wheat's chaff
blowing in Nebraska wind,
the mountain peaks gleaming
in California snow.
I am the face of the sunlight dancing
on the changing face of the open sea.
I am the moment before conception,
the afterglow of possibility.
I am the opposite of goodbye's poison,
a hello to last for eternity.
I am most whole when I am with her,
and she is whole with me.

You are poet of exception ...
you and your poetry of soulfilled imagery have been missed.

I am the moment before conception,
the afterglow of possibility.

and that is one of the COOLEST LINES!!!!

Welcome back baby

Every moment of every day
youre still with me in every way
Every poem and song...every rhyme and verse
youre still here...like a beautiful curse

Hey, mike, if you could poke yer head out, I guessed I would too. This is spectacular, another I would love to hear recited. I loved the juxtaposition of being all, and then only half without her. Loved it...and will try to catch you as soon as I can quit hopping around this Easter! And? gotta hop again, Methinks I smell a roast that needs tending to. Love ya much. HUGS.

Hmmm, thought this was your "Immortality" poem as I was reading along, and then you surprised me at the end.
Nice lines!

Well actually, I miss you too. But I'm pretty sure it's in a different way.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
