Think of Me

If you should pause to think of me,
in sudden swell of languid light,
beneath dusk's rush to settle in
upon the sill of nearing night,
when limbs and mind find ease of day
as pleasing as the thrush's trill,
perhaps a fragile thought will slow
the sighing of the whipoorwill,
and I might come to occupy
a certain space, a tender one,
within your meditation's pace.
Please think of me, when day is done.

Ah, Seymour, you are a sweetheart. Bet you say that to all the occasional ladypoets who pop in here from time to time ~ though I "am" glad you enjoyed this wee poem.

Many thanks,
Claire

Rex, what a dear you are. I can't get here as often as I would like, but your words certainly bring me good thoughts and make me grateful to be here when I can. I enjoy your work too, you know.

Thank you, and take care.

Meadowmuse - I don't know what it is today, but as I have said to others, most of what I read today is feelings that I have. I liked this, and can relate very well.
