The Snapshot

I like to think of you in sweats;
Your hair all mussed
As if you had just returned from jogging on the beach.
It brings a smile
To picture how you look
When your breath comes quick,
And your eyes sparkle
Like the surf you love.
If I were there I'd take a picture,
Or better yet, stop a stranger walking by,
Including him in who knows what.
Not knowing I was just a guy
Come to visit,
He'd suggest we move together.
Secretly we would comply,
Ever after
Thankful for the accomplice.

This is so fantastic!!! But then it's an "RMW!" so what else would it be.  There have been so many times I have fancied myself as the image you describe...guess it's those great commercials that depict an active, svelte, relaxed woman in sweats with beauty that transcends a mundane grey suit of jogging clothes, alive with perspiration from a lust for expending energy and revving the heart rate.  The idea of the accomplice promoting the relationship, superb!  Gotta keep a copy of this, 'k???

Bob, your "Snapshot" comes to life here. Written with your usual poetic acuity. I enjoyed it, thanks.

Most luxuriant,
these images
passing by
on smiles
we trade
anew.
