Looking out from deep inside my eyes
Through windows of contentment and of peace
I see the eagle struggling as he flies
To keep up with the ever changing breeze

A whirlwind swirls around my weary soul
Horizons ever changing in my view
And in this storm I’ve lost sight of my goal
And of my friends at passions that I knew

I cannot yet detect the tunnel’s end
Of good and bad that’s come into my life
But I would hate to lose a poet friend
Because of all this turmoil and this strife.

I’m sorry that I cannot write just now
I’m sorry if I missed your lovely verse
I have some things that must be done somehow
Some forces for the better and the worse

Please accept my deep apology
For leaving without even saying why
But I will move the mountains and the sea
To hear again your tender lullabies

I need a little time to sort things out
And clarify these changes in my life
But I must seek a dream that I have found
And I must put an end to sorrow’s strife

Please keep alive those wondrous poet pens
And know that I’m still with you, poet friends

And JM, you are wonderful!

Liz

you don't need to apologize to anyone for having a real life and needing to live in it

frankly, i wish i had one... one day, i will

i hope but i'm not holding my breath while breathing

and y'know what? sometimes i think the whole darned internet owes us all an apology

it's too addictive but then again i've been here way too long so let this stand as my words to say, if i disappear for a while or forever, i loved you all, too

your writing, as always, is excellent

I barely know you but your poetry certainly touched my heart, and of late, your poetry has been a little "different"!  I have a speech about this internet regarding real vs fantasy and how to know the difference.  Now that you have a crack at reality, I sincerely hope you will take with you your toolbox full of fantasy, and use it wisely because there is nothing better than putting a little fantasy into your reality.  I want to wish you all the best in whatever you do, and how wonderful this is for you to know that all your friends are here waiting for you at anytime. May love and serenity be yours!  I hope you don't stop writing though as you were given a gift, a true gift. Good luck!

Liz, no apology for wanting to live life is ever needed.  This is also why I am not here as much as at one time.  No matter where your life may lead you, or where you go, you will be in our thoughts and hearts.  Hugs dear lady.  *s*

Elizabeth,
I read everything you posted although I did not reply. Perhaps my actions were strange but I felt you had things and decissions you wanted to think about and make. Our hearts touched and our souls looked into a common mirror. This is something I will never forget. My heart mind and soul will always be open to you and I will always search the wind. Stay well and bless you. Sy

Without a reading of any replies
something is said that I know
has given you some cause for relief
for we all love you so.

Do what must be done, take a break
and when you can, come back,
poetry is a special gift,
and your giving never lacks.

We shall be here, for your return
awaiting in the day and night
to see a sign of Lady Santos' return
and welcome a reading of her write.

We understand. Take care....the light will be on.

Elizabeth, there is not a thing you have to be sorry about.  All great artist need some time for them selves to heal and become even better.  We know you will do that and much more.  Lets just say you are on vacation.  Have a safe trip and we will all welcome you back when you feel ready.  Hugs,  ME

Brilliant poem Liz.....Hey Liz, you don't have to apologize...it's your life do what you want! I admit that I read your poetry sometimes and I don't post all the time but, I've always respected your talent and greatness....in fact, I always expect to see your name or Seymour either headlining or near the top of the first page...and I see how much hearts you've touched with your poetry....you're doing a magnificent job too....I'm not sure if I can say for myself but, I try as it's important to me for my readers to be touched or to at least like what I write because, if they don't, I feel as if I've failed......anyways, you take care, handle your BI and don't worry about the poetry....Passions has tons of your previous work....peace!!!

It's hard to believe I haven't yet responded to this... I've read it many times... guess my fingers were just busy applauding. *S*

Dear lady, if a dream is within your reach and joy is even a possibility... run after it, grab with both hands... and don't ever let go. *S* (But come back when you can and tell us about it so that we may enjoy vicariously. *G*) We will miss you... just know we're cheering you on. *S*
