In Paris, the city of lovers
Is where you will find me
Under the lamplight on the bridge
Is where I will be

Wearing a black cocktail dress
With a rose between my teeth
I glance down at my watch
Was it 7:30 we said we'd meet?

The distant sound of traffic
On the busy street below
As the moon shimmers on the water
Of the Seine river as she flows

The Notre Dame Cathedral
What a spectacular sight at night
As this truly beautiful city
Is blanketed by so many lights

In the distance I see the Eiffel Tower
Such a magnificent sight to behold
As I wrap my arms around me
As I'm beginning to feel the cold

A kiss on my neck
Lets me know that you're here
Then you wrap your jacket around me
Ever thoughtful - so dear

As we walk arm in arm
Along the Champs Elysees
I stop and turn towards you
There is something I want to say

When I spend time with you
I feel like I'm walking on air
There's no need for me to worry
Just as long as you are there

The only thing that matters
Is being here with you
In this beautiful city of lights
There's so much that we could do

But for now I'm just so happy
Walking along the street with you
I could be with you all night
Until the sun begins to shine through

Thank you all for the lovely comments.  I am very fortunate to have travelled to Paris twice now and it truly is such a romantic city, an experience you will never forget.  I hope I captured the feel of the place for you to enjoy..........Sue
