TEXAS (it's all big)

I found myself a hole in the wall
Only I can reach it, I’m six feet tall
I imagine if I put my fingers right in
The wisdom will surely enlighten
It could be the dragon with terrible maw
I looked in the hole but nothing I saw
I’m really afraid that I might get bitten
By horse or by pig or furry black kitten
What’s through the hole I might just guess
A world without order maybe a mess
Where the sky is green and the grass is yellow
And guys are girls and girls called fellows
And anybody knows that nobody cares
The meaning of life is clean underwear
If that’s what it’s like in this here found hole
You can have it right back cuz I don’t want to know
But I’m thinking this hole being six feet up
Was not meant to be found by just a young pup
So what should I do with this amazing new find
Lock it away inside of my mind?
I could share with the world the hole that I found
A step latter they’d need to see off the ground
All the people less intelligent then me
Who are shorter than I, who needs no ladder to see
I could charge tickets to come see the show
One dollar to see what could be in that hole
But what if there is a fortune untold
Left by a pirate having some gold
He woulda had been tall to reach up so high
But what if I let some customer try
And he pulled out a golden bright gold shilling
I’d say, “come back again” although unwilling
I’d really like to say “gimme a cut of that loot
You who were brave to go in there and root”
But I think I’d be scared of any brave soul
Who could stick his hand in this here hole
So I think I’ll just walk and whistle a tune
And watch from afar for a sucker real soon
I left here a ladder and I left here a note
It reads “hey partner look what I have wrote”
“Way up there high I measured six feet
And found a strange hole not in my seat
And my shirt is real clean I don’t want to mess
So if you would just see what all of us guess
What’s in that hole my reader, my friend?
Whatever you find, now I must say The End”

Sorry I'm not sticking anything in that hole. If it's 6ft up then something big must of put it there.

shoot, shoot, shoot......I know the movie, can't think of the name....only know that Audrey Hepburn was in it....enticed to put her hand in the mouth but feared it might bite...I'm think "Carnival"....not sure....

WHY are you asking me these questions when I am past my bedtime!?

good stuff....you blew my mind, but I despise not having the answers!

If it's six feet up there, there is NO way I would even see it let alone get on a ladder to reach in...I guess this could be considered a test of 'faith'??

in my mind it is all about reading a poem ang getting what you get out of it. the next person might get something else. that is the unknown of reaching into the hole. a side thing was about the height of the hole and people thinking they are all that because they are "tall" enough to get the picture (the meaning of the poem). thanky ethan for the "malkovich" comparison although hehe it was hard to miss.

wayoutwalt - I believe that is the hole that I lost, so I have to think that it is mine. I paid for it, I dug it, I sweated for it, I looked inside it, I caressed it, and I did other things to it that can't be mentioned here. heheeh

Just joking!
