Eternity's Wind

Grains disbursed into memory's mold
Archiving briefly our new love's trail
Each imprint another chapter to be told
As they are read between kisses set asail

Waves of jade marbled in curls of white
Breaching the silence with Neptune's song
As Luna showers in the stars of this night
She salts the air between embraces strong

Gentle tugs pulling the tides of lust
Between sparkles of our crested gaze
As tender lips adorn a bridge of trust
Blazing a future within scalloped maze

As imprints wash away in a tidal girth
Seagulls dance as our two hearts ascend
Twirling on a breeze of tomorrow's birth
Our love is entrusted to eternity's wind

he's traveling with his new job.
He apologizes for not being here to reply

Hey there, Teach!  So, you made the right decision to save your words for the force of good, instead of evil!  LOL     But, really, I stand in awe of the imagery here...just when I thought I was getting close with it, you go and write something as beautifully breathtaking as this!  sheesh... ...but, wonderful write, as always, and I hope to see ya around again soon!  You know we all miss ya!

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk into the room...

"As tender lips adorn a bridge of trust"

It was nearly impossible to choose a favorite phrase from such a well-constructed cohesive whole... but this line just kept calling me back with its beauty... and what great promise the last verse contains! *S* No one else writes of love with such perfection... and no one equals your descriptive powers. These blue pages just aren't as addictive when your name is missing, Mark.

Many thanks to JM for posting this for you... and many hopes that you can return soon. Your poetry and replies are so much missed!

Mark, such a pleasure to see you here...even if it's through Janet. This is, as usual, a beautiful poem.

Take care and come back soon,
Dee

Janet, thanks for the email. I don't get here as much as I'd like and I would've missed this otherwise.

Dee

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life. a brand

Near or far...you still know how to stroke a
womans heart with your poetry Mark...ahhhhh
if life could be as simple as poetry and
rosepetals...and orange blossoms  ...

Your talent to weave the images so that the
reader can touch them, smell them, taste
them...that's talent baby...and you got an
armload of it...and you share it beautifully
my dear friend~

As I said earlier... no one writes love poems better. *S* But since I no longer harbor hopes that I'll ever inspire such a critter, I sometimes turn a little green with envy reading love poems, even when reading the best. *G*

So... if you thought this was enough of a fix to last your addicts a while, think again! LOL You are greatly missed, cowboy... this place just isn't the same without your replies and ALL your great poetry. *S* That missing inspired the poem I just posted... I hope Janet Marie will be kind enough to read it to you. *S* Hurry back!
