Now I was being nice and let Butterflies borrow
    my portable washer/dryer

You would think she would be happy, right?
Well, now we are both wrong

Its just a little old thing and can't take much
of a load, warning to the buyer!

Directions were inside so no hidden surprises
but I guess that'd take too long

Oh, she got her clothes in, that was no problem
and they washed up a storm

Then she started looking for the spin cycle
     because it moved pretty slow

When all else fails, read the directions!  Now
here is where things get a bit warm

No spin cycle to be found and she began to burn,
she's whipping clothes as fast as they'd go

She called JM and told her this sad tale, who
laughed too hard to give advice

Butterflies said she needed lessons on "stream
      and rock beating", poor baby

Oh and the words from my kid came forth
and the blue-air you could slice

I guess she learned a lesson or two though
traumatized, it's not as bad as it could be

Well, now, it took me awhile to catch on.  I was feeling pretty sad for butterflies being caught up in a spin cycle...thought this was a metaphor for monarchs caught in a hurricane or tornado.  I'm really glad, though sad for Butterflies, that it wasn't about butterflies.

Now, ya got that straight?  Did I say it clearly enough or does it have the wrong spin on it?

OK, VAS, you got it right and it was the washing machine and not the other.  Boy, I wish I had your mind to roam around in!  Thanks

They say that discretion is the better part of valour so I'll just say I enjoyed the read and leave it at that.    Take care!
