Yesterday it was quite hot,
But today rain decide to stop,
It flooded my thoughts with,
The smell of sweet earth,

But others could care less,
For what’s it worth,

I let them not strangle my anticipation for more rain,
Sure sun is nice,
But here it hardly rains,

The cold wind signals some hope,
For others it is another day,
Full of recourse.

Oh, Xeonox.  I love the rain, but I love the sun too and I hope we get some for Easter.  I would think everyone would welcome rain in California.  But I live in Washington state and this year they say we need more.  Hardly seems possible. Love, Joyce

Xeonex, great piece, yes Fullerton does need the joy of rain, just as wetter areas during these drought-like conditions of late.  Oregon and Washington have had much less precipitation than normal and though I'm in the desert like part of Oregon, where rain is always less than the Willamette Valley, I'm truly enjoying the rain we're getting.

I feel compelled to mention that the two lines at the end of the third stanza, IMHO, need a little tweaking.  The remainder of the piece does seem to be in a poetic form, yet these two lines or more in prose.  Perhaps it was your intention to draw attention to those lines, especially, by making a departure from your established form, if so, your right, of course.  If not, I hope my remark has been a helpful one.  I do like the poem and its statement!
