So new am I to writing
But so much do I feel at home
With so much encouragement given to me
Whenever I submit one of my poems

How humbled am I
As perfect strangers, I see
Take the time to leave me a comment
And afford such a welcome to me

So many talented people
I have seen put their pen to write
Whether their ideas come to them
During the day or throughout the night

Like an artist I try to paint
Descriptive pictures with my words
This is the only way I know
For my innermost feelings to be heard

Sometimes I feel as though
My heart is spread out for all to see
What you see in all of my writing
Is from the very heart and soul of me

So happy am I to be writing
It seems longer than just four months ago
The only thing I'm now hoping for
Is that the words continue to flow

Sue,

Honest feelings penned to paper is what true poetry is all about.  Your words will dry up from time to time.  It happens to us all, but they'll always return.  It's always a pleasure to read your wonderful poetry, my friend.

Beautifully penned - and Michael is right, the words come and go, but are never far away as I see they returned in this nice piece.

This is marvelous, just wonderful.  Thank you for this one!
