Listening to every heart

He Spoke

“of
      meadows sprinkled
in fragrant wildflowers
with
forests filtering
      crimson sunsets”

and transformed
was I

to a glen in green,
yellow and young blue
sparklings

early spring delights,

scents of grasses
growing
and that special spring
mist
that only the purest breezes
blow

I stayed
in the glen
to breathe in the warmth
of the day
smelling pungent ground
moved by worms

in my stay
I delighted in the sun
of your day,
felt the warmth
saturate my shoulders
warming my legs
encased in black jeans

pulling in the sun

lifting my face
to the sky
freckles popping
in the silence

smelling
feeling
holding in
nature

surrounded
in His love

and knowing,
realizing
laughing,

in gay delight

the thought of
being surrounded
by poets…

nature’s delight

today, I
shall stay
in the warmth of the glen

and love

Such a nice place to be.

Karilea,

That some simple poem I wrote could inspire something of such incredible loveliness is just amazing.  This takes my breath away. I love this and am deeply touched and honored.  Thank you, sweet poet friend.

I swear there is some 'irish' in you. - yet this is much much more than blarney or celtic meadows - or anything Auguste (no disrespect intended) could ever produce

Karilea~
Lovely thoughts and certainly inspired by a man of gentle thoughts ...

You both are amazingly delightful.

Don't you all just love it when one poet inspires another?

Thank you all for reading!
