My Silent Love

Dear one, if you could know my love for you
Could sense the passion running through
For sweetheart is a name you're surely due
But I cannot release a single clue
No matter how much I may burn inside
And long to share it, let it all come out
You're all my life, you're all that I'm about
If free I were I'd sing you far and wide
Each word you speak I hold within my heart
Your beauty deep it shows in every smile
I love the way you write, your sense of style
I think I knew I loved you from the start
Compassion mixed with passion shines in you
All beauty in my life you have imbued

The first duty of love is to listen.

It isn't every man who can express himself this way. This is a charming examination of heart ~ harbored love. Wonderful writing, Wilfred.
