Not a glimmer glistened past
as I peered through looking glass.
No bend of light to please mind's eye,
I gazed upon myself in cry.
Eyes too merry in the tears,
too blue to see beyond my fears.
Passioned lips in pouting red,
swollen from the bite of lead--
a bullet that I grip in teeth--
unclenching of my hand in reach...

And the lonely echo's song
mocking the eternal long,
reverberating to my ear:
"you'll find no answer here."

mirror mirror on the wall..........

Looking hard into your eyes,
There was nobody I'd ever known.
Such an empty surprise ...
To feel so alone.

Look up and see the beauty of promise.  Look beyond your canope, further, further ...
There it is!

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.

This is really sad, but so well written! You said a lot of what I am feeling today. I loved this.

so sorry i am so intense
so sorry I was so pretense
I wish a simple fingernail--
a leave of red, a lust's red snail...
and all my comfort, waits undone.
I wish you were my only one...
Lovely laughter
echo free,
freedom thinks--
you might want me.

Very powerful and deep with melancholy emotion, the last few lines hit hard!  I relate very much, excellent writing~

Take care,
