(In a simulation of Lady in White Style- It seemed a good way to convey these thoughts. I hope she is not offended)

Caressing

Cooling, crafting
A scent sent
A voice conveyed
Softly displayed
Sweetly entrée'ed
Sweet breathe so moist
Gives heart a voice
Can you feel it too
I hear it say
"Love you today"
yes it's ours to feel
our love to steal
a love from fate
how long must we wait
anticipate
our first date

create other meetings
with such sweet greetings
meetings on the sand
kisses spread out so grand

kisses on in the surf
salt blue as a smurf
taking us to eternity
passing on to serenity
falling, rising in waves
we'll always be brave

Nesting in pines
Beds of needles divine

Or on cliffs with a view
We'll have so much to do

Your voice soft
Hot chocolate on ice cream
Warming, blending us two
Sundaes without end
Our love does suspend
Vanilla and fudge
Needing no nudge
We're in too deep
Going on without sleep

In tropical climes
Without any chimes
We hear "Yo te amo"
It's no longer a blow
But felt like a caress
so I do not digress
My poems are a success
If ending, beginning
Are a 'caress'

Yet a postscript I'll devise
one I hope you'll not despise
as I witness feelings held
Too long words I've not spelled
Words I think you know I'm sure
Like sweetest sugar refined pure
You too know held lest rejection
fear I walk off in dejection

This poem rambles on and on
It only speaks what I've been saying
So many elements I've been praying
How surrender will be sweet
All the caressing - when we meet

The first duty of love is to listen.

Thank you all so much - - I truly do appreciate your responses - - I'd like to think my poetry is 'evolving' as I myself evolve -
I will be posting a number of poems I posted elsewhere in the past few years - - I ask that you contrast and compare - I did not choose to "evolve"  but in some measure physical changes DO affect how I (we) respond and/or initiate aspects of our relationships -

I MOST DEFINITELY  would appreciate your perceptions in this light
