Morning Fog

Silhouettes of trees emerge through early morning mist
Evergreens and hills in silence show they still exist
As haze arises from the creek bed, flowers reappear
No longer am I blinded to the splendors I hold dear

At daybreak nature summons me to step outside to see
What new enchanting wonders it has spread in front of me
At last I spot the serenading warbler in the brush
Green holly tree, the white of birch and feathers of a thrush

A morning fog had shrouded all from dawn’s sweet subtle glows
The stage is lighted with delight, now that the curtain rose

...the curtain rose...
I like the anticipation of a new day dawning.

"A morning fog had shrouded all from dawn’s sweet subtle glows

Beautiful description ... I could see it, feel it, and hear it all. Wonderfully imagery to greet the dawn of a gorgeous new day! Lovely as always, Liz!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hi Liz,

This is so beautiful and true, I can't wait to go out and see the day begin this way, scanning for some new suprise Mother Nature has blessed me with,

I can see it and feel it, Elizabeth!
Look for "Fog, I Love the Fog" for another view.

I'd decided earlier (we share the same fog ~G~) I'd try to write a fog inspired poem  =

so I had to read this you know = - scratch all prior thought - it's 'back to the drawing boards' - this is beyond, way beyond, use for inspiration - and i'm too humbled now to attempt
