Some Days

Some days I want to beg
serious on the knees begging
reminding you of the last promise
we made
to find a way
to love each other…while still doing the right thing.

What was I thinking?

Some days I think I was delusional
to have ever let us begin
but then it only takes one moment relived
one poem
out of all the words we spoke
to know we were meant to be…just never to endure.

Why can’t I just accept that?

Some days I think that somehow
someway I will see you, again
and at that moment, not one moment will have passed
since that first night
and you will hold me there so I can breath again
all my sins…forgiven and forgotten.

Why do I let myself hope?

Speak when you are angry--and you'll make the best speech you'll ever regret...Laurence J. Peter

The hope is the hardest thing to let go of.  Painful one, JLR.  Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it is never good enough.  I wish it was . . .

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

JLR~
Such a heartrendered write -

'one poem
out of all the words we spoke
to know we were meant to be…just never to endure.'

Sometimes it is just that way ...
and all the wishing in the world doesn't change it ...
There comes a time when you have to move beyond it.
And you will know when that time has come.
Be ready ... it could be tomorrow !

This sounds like a painful and rather hopeless experience, but I am hoping it will have a happy ending for you.

Because "hope" is eternal, JLR....and in hope, we find faith, and in faith, we know that one day, a true love will surface....

we don't know when, or where, or how, or why....

we just know....

It's hard hoping and wishing and the days seem even longer when we do that. I hope this ends as a blessing for you...You truly have talent, My Friend.

because hope is eternal. . . it always exists. . . and, as long as we have hope. . . we will go on. . .

excellent my friend. . .

Your frustration and confusion were conveyed well in this one JLR. Brillant expression of feelings...very heartfelt. We find hope in releasing notions of hopelesness through poetry...and you write with an articulate pen. I'm sure the clouds will move away soon, just keep hoping. *Hugs*

Lone Wolf---Often hope is the last thing we let go of.  Thanks for your consistant support.

Marge---Could be tonight...frustration is building rapidly with the help of bare reality.  If wishes were horses...

Trillium---Didn't seem hopeless in the beginning but then my eyes were probably closed.  Thanks for reading and responding.

Laura---Here's hoping for both of us...YES, to move on.  I keep saying that don't I?

Sunshine---or maybe not.  It's ok, a smooth sail is looking better every day.

Saunni---Thanks for reading and the compliment.

walker---My friend, thanks for your always encouraging words.

Sven---As always, I am honored by your response.  Truly, thank you.

Becky---Thank you so much for the extremely kind comments.  Hope to be reading more of you soon.  Beckalini?  Are you Italian?
