The Mystery
August 9, 2000 Copyright Doug Pretorius

I walk along the same path,
passed over by most before,
at my expense so many laughs,
they don't know it opens doors.
It's warm and gently holds my hand,
guiding me along to a special land.
A fantasy that's not so empty,
as the lives they think I wish,
it opens my eyes and lets me see,
a chamomile flower and peppermint kiss.
Certainly it is true I was not always so sure,
I stumbled on my life and was snagged by its burrs.
But somehow I survived, just as you have too,
so now we can enjoy this little chat,
about the hummingbird and cockatoo,
and it won't matter whether we go this way or that,
because wherever we go we'll know just what to do.
Spring is behind us and fall looms ahead,
but never we mind, we'll just go back to bed.
It's a wonderful thing to live in this time,
a blizzard of change and fragrance of rhyme.
But rhyme with what? We are yet to see,
for that is the essence of you and of me.

Oh yes, you've described the mystery so very well here, it's not only what lies ahead of us that is a mystery, but even what we put behind us, and how it can shape in the long run, is just incredible. I loved the visions and voice this piece presented. (smiles) Oh Doug, I'm still getting over how happy I am seeing you here! I am so happy you accepted my invitation! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Doug~

'But rhyme with what? We are yet to see,
for that is the essence of you and of me.'

Caught in the rhyme
Let it be ...
For it will serve you well
to solve 'The Mystery'

Enjoyed the read and thanks to Noah
for inviting you into the family circle.
*Thanks, Noah !
