You and I will walk together
Through the dense forest
Between the tallest trees
Following this simple path
To see just where it leads

You and I will walk together
Beside the mighty river
Watching the water rush by
As the ducks diligently swim
Across to the other side

You and I will walk together
Through the flower garden
We'll take the time to appreciate
The radiant beauty of each blossom
Residing in this glorious place

You and I will walk together
Along the rugged shoreline
Past the children playing
To the sheltered harbor
Where the lighthouse stands proud

You and I will walk together
Down the city streets
In front of the tall buildings
Through the deserted park
To pause in front of the fountain

You and I will walk together
Across the highest mountains
Through the green valleys
To the small clearing
Where we'll have a picnic

You and I will walk together
In the warm summer rain
We'll feel totally refreshed
As the rain cleanses us
Washing away our fears

You and I will walk together
Amongst the various people
That make up this world of ours
Two lives joined as one life
Two hearts beating in perfect rhythm

You and I will walk together
Through the minutes that give way
To the hours which build the days
That form the weeks, months, and years
Of the rest of our life as man and wife

Yes, you and I will walk together . . .

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Great outlook on love, great poem!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
