when I'm with you
the world should stop
          be asleep
cars shouldn't drive by
the phone shouldn't ring
the only sounds should be
          the twinkling of the stars
                    the sweep of the moon
and the beating of our hearts

the clock should be
          silent in its ticking
the second hand stopping at 12
and not moving again
          until morning

this is how it should be
          and yet. . .

when is it??

it's morning
and the clock has stopped. . .
                                                       . . . again. . .

Beauty, Sven Pen.   If the world won't stop then you have to make it stop! LOL! Don't ask me how though!

loved the essence of time standing still, especially love the silence, no ticking, that ticking can be annoying!
