Rewrite:

Remembrance

I knocked upon a silent door,
My head bowed down and eyes afloor.
A rose half cast, my hat half mast,
Wished this moment gone and past.

The door opened, I saw old shoes,
Baggy pants and a stern amuse.
I wish to see Kate I stuttered
And smiled through out the mutter.

Well now, what have we here?
Said a bold voice quite loud and clear.
You wish to see my daughter Kate?
And I melted, when he said wait.

Kate came out in an impish soar,
Pulled me in and closed the door,
Took the rose, my hat and coat
And said you're late, you silly dolt.

She took my hand my heart went wild
She felt it shake and only smiled
I don't know why but I could see
She was the only girl for me.

It was so then and is so now,
Before the oath, before the vow
I never knew the why or where,
I only knew that she was there.

And we live in this house today,
And Kate still has her impish way.

Seymour~
What a vivid imagination you possess -
you bring us all to the doorway of your verse
and invite us in to enjoy !

... and we DO !
Thank you, dear poet !
