Would you mind if I borrowed your pen,
So I may pretend ,to write with a glow,
Make my words dazzle your eye,
Make my words flow with surprise,
May I borrow your heart ,never depart,
Just for the night, Let my poem be with life,
Take you on a whirlwind magical flight,
drop you nice and soft,
Upon the oceans of mermaids,
That send us the signals of poetry delights,
May I borrow your ink, that marks so unique,
Upon the window of my very soul,
If I could write with a spark,
I would create the colors of the rainbow,
a promise of tomorrow,
A world born anew,
With so much beauty bestowed
With just the touch of your pen,
For yet a momentary delight.
Yellow's of bright,
White pure delight,
purple lavenders dream,
blue with surpise,
black in surmise,
With just the mark of your pen.

This is a very pretty and colorful poem. Yes...you may borrow my pen anytime. But it only writes in black. I do have some pencils you may use anytime.

Loved the analogy of color. And yes, you may have my pen...please, perhaps then you could coax another sunset, sunrise or walk along a river, beach or lake from its lodging behind the scrub grasses trying fitfully to bloom.

Irish Rose Thank you so much, sometimes I'm in such awe of everyone's poetry, thinking if only I could create some images, so just with a stroke of your pen, I'm honored,
Alan, gee whiz I'll gladly take pencils too, In fact that may spread my horizon even more
Julian, wow you've already got me thinking about the beautiful sunsets, each day beckons us into a new color,
