tears of my heart and soul

here for a moment in time--
to these walls i find myself returning
again. good to see you all...but only here
for a brief stay. just needed to get this all
out.

sitting here i just let the tears of my soul
rain down my cheeks and face
hot tears dripping from my eyelashes
as i swallow the last bit of my pride and grace

pain inside my heart
feels like it could tear me in two
is it that i'm no longer desirable
i do not know what to do

the branches of my heart and soul
are now bare like trees in the long winter night
the light has vanished from my eyes
no longer do i have the will to fight

looking in the mirror
i recognize the face staring back at me
though there are pieces of me missing
i know some things just aren't meant to be

all i want is to be loved
really the same thing all of us wish for
though the light of life for me is diminishing
im ready for the opening of a new door

feeling myself tossed at sea
as wave after wave threatens to drown me
i look up through my blurry visioned
your angelic face is all i see

but even you are just an illusion
my angel in the sky
as once again i turn my head downward
allowing my heart and soul to cry

It's good to read your words again, even if only for a moment.  I wish they could be for you...happier words.  And though, I hate cliches'...this too shall pass.  Please be gentle with yourself.  (I stole that from Just a Woman...don't think she'll mind.)

Oh Aimy, this is so incredibly moving....so painful, and written so well too....Hugs sweet lady.

The 'ache' is palpable in this poem. It is nice to read you again, but wish it was a more joyous poem. Keep writing it out.....

My first thought, having never read your words before, is to tell you of the ultimate revenge: live well.

"all i want is to be loved"

Oh, but Amy ... you are, you are!  It's so wonderful to see you here, if only for a brief visit. This was beautifully written, and the sentiments simply gripped my soul. You have such a lovely heart Amy ... many, many {{{hugs}}} coming your way!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Amy, This was very sad, sometimes we all want something from other people they can't give, believe in yourself, and open that door, to a new beginning, if it's to happen it can only happen by you taking that first step

though there is indeed quiet comfort in these walls...
the same walls can close in on us ... (dont I know)
you already know the door wont be found here....
you and only you know where to look for the light to show you the way to that door,
and you are stronger than you know...
you've already proven that many times.
