Deb... thank you SO very much for this wonderful, sweet reply ...
I will pass it along to Mark...
your kindness has been missed around here...
so nice to see your name back.

Melis, thank you sweets for coming back...
and as for the baseball rivalry ...
thats between you, cowboy and SP...
I am only the typist in this banter of blah blah, LOL ...
Im not too much of a baseball fan...
but the guys in the spandex pants are groovy  *L*

thanks again to all for the divine replies to this.

Janet Marie & Mark-
  This is absolutely beautiful...nothing
less than I would expect from the two
  of you...
So glad I caught this one before it
  got away...

  hugs to you both,
  ~vicky

She has witnessed the passing of her people
eyes of realize have bled rivers along the trail of tears
The loss of humanity, heritage and honor etched eternal
shame and sorrow our burden engraved in unforgiving years
A history of ignorance written by bloodstained hands of man
raped, pillaged, and murdered then called themselves pioneers
In the absence of conscious  ... in the absence of humane
we reduced a proud race to tourist attractions and souvenirs

powerful words it is refreshing to see poets acknowledge a proud race who were almost wiped out for the sake of white man's progress,  and the fact that the poem was written by two of passion's finest makes it even more powerful. beautifully written guys.

"across the unfair divide
where black will never meet white
so read my token lips
like they never exist"

I'm in awe - the haunting music added to the beautiful collection of artwork. Your tribute to the Native American People, I know they would be honored. I will keep this...

let our hands communicate what's in our heart. A Wisp of a brush...

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

Good grief, I almost forgot this one!  Besides now I printed it out This was more than a collaboration, it was a melding of souls in words.  Still awe-struck 2nd time around Jan, and Mark.
