(written in early '99, I may have posted here - but I think not - if I'm wrong please accept my apology)

I ask you if you care a bit at all
Grant that I might bear your tears a while
For I have seen hopes dashed upon the wall
I may not share your locus but I smile

It may not be that our fates intertwine
Yet I feel your struggle through your soft words
And sense a strength such frail words deny
And wish to aid your hearing of the birds

Moreover, know I bear a love for you
Transcendent though you chose not to believe
So if inside my heart you had a clue
You'd know there is no intent to deceive

So share with me - and know your secrets' safe
Bound in my love, my tender little waif

The first duty of love is to listen.

I just love your sonnets...
they flow like sweet cream butter..
and the emotions are like sweet raspberry tea

It's such a clever innocence with which you show myself to me
As if you know how it feels to never be who you wanted to be

When I can write deeply personal - and resurrect something - that this time speaks to someone real - (and I liked this one when it was fantasy) = I'm most pleased - - so if you were pleased - I maybe did it right - - thank you
