Might As Well Tell A Mountain
~*Marge Tindal*~

You might as well tell a mountain
not to spill her lazy streams,
as to try to tell me not to cascade
through my not-so-impossible dreams.

You'd never chide a mountain
from preening in her splendor of green,
so why would you try to shatter
the dreaming of my dreams ?

In sunlight rays adornment,
dare you tell a mountain not to peak ?
Across the bridging of my dreams,
do not try to still my speak.

Be gone you slasher, dasher-of-hope,
I've no patience, your doubts to reprove,
for with the tiniest mustard-seed of faith,
I've many a mountain yet to move.

I have met the mountain
and stand humbly on it's peak.

And you dream big dreams on top of that mountain, for they will all come true!  Poetically speaking you "rocked my socks off" with this one!   (hugs)

Who would ever try... not I ... not I.
this is wonderful Margie... love the imagery
poetic turn of phrase and anology at its best.
very cool theme here!!

Marge:

"In sunlight rays adornment,
dare you tell a mountain not to peak ?
Across the bridging of my dreams,
do not try to still my speak"

Wonderful!!  The whole poem, but I am particularly fond of the stanza above...for it made me smile at the thought of it.

Such confidence evidenced here!  Superb writing, no wonder your dreams are alive and well!  I wish I could keep more of my dreams so un-dashed.  Well done! Faith in God, not a lot of faith in me.

I love this one, Margie gal... and love the strength you speak. *S* I'll have to remember this line: "Be gone you slasher, dasher-of-hope" (especially when dealing with brick walls *S*)
