My wife and I were shopping... I think, last Saturday... When a lady spoke in passing, Then she went along her way. Her eyebrows rose in question- She murmured, “Did you know...”? I said, “We were acquainted, That was many years ago”! A lot of miles and years have passed- But time just fell away. The things I had forgotten- Now all seem like yesterday. It’s funny how our passing- Made old feeling glow and grow... And resurrected passions- We had buried years ago. Years ago seem like a moment- Just a heartbeat out of time, For a while you were my darling- And our love was sweet as wine. But the heart is so deceitful- In a moment lays you low... With a weapon forged, forgotten... From many years ago. © Copyright 2001 John R. Yaws - All Rights Reserved |

Gunslinger are you the lost love Koko is looking for? Oh, boy, maybe I am starting another story. I guess all my old loves are dead and gone because I can't remember any of them. Liked your words. ME |
