It isn't just your poetry that I intensely miss
(Though you write such perfect rhymes, impossible to resist!)
I miss reading your responses, for your thoughtful replies
Add so much more to this dear place than you can realize!
Poems here are plentiful, greatness easy to find
But I sorely miss the special offerings of your mind.
Each one of us is important to this poetic whole
And when even one is absent, it creates quite a hole.
So if, at times, you think that you're not appreciated
Remember, all the time, somewhere someone waits with bated
Breath for the simple joy of once again seeing your name
For without you here, it's empty - nothing is quite the same.
Circumstances beyond your control may keep you away
But I just thought that you should know how much you're missed today.

Any poet who graces Passions, then is gone for a day or two, is sorely missed, indeed....

and some, more than others....

I know this is written for another, but I will secretly, or not so secretly, cherish this as my own welcome back

Bless you.

Calling all absent Poets to please come home. You have been missed. When I joined this family there were a few poets that brought a smile to my face and made me think. I miss them.
Hopefully they will see your poem and check in.

Brad: I'm an addict and I know it... Poetry that moves my soul is CRAVED... and missed so much when the poet is absent! *S* Thank you so much!

Lady: Yup... some are DEFINITELY missed more than others... I'm only human! LOL Thanks for reading, sweet lady.

Interloper: You honor me in cherishing this as your own welcome back... and you ARE welcomed! *S* I won't deny that this was written with one particular poet in mind. *S* But it was also written for all of us... there was a time when I thought I could slip away unnoticed... this is a reminder that we all matter and that every one of us has someone appreciating our efforts. *S*

inot2B: I hope they see... or find out some way... and HEED! *S*

Lone Wolf: Thank you... The missing is sincere, but I wasn't too sure of the poem... your "well said" means a lot. *S*

serenity: I just want my surprises SOON! LOL. Thank you very much!

Irish Rose: I certainly hope so! *S* Thank you for reading. *S*

MsSuthernLady~
This is so YOU ... sweet and wonderfully said.
Be sure and send it to that 'missing poet'
and I'll bet it does the trick of bringing them back to the fold.

You are a sweet and thoughtful person and I'm glad to know you.
*Hugs*

I can think of a couple of 'missing in action' poets whose return I would love to see....and I'll go along with Martie here, it's SO nice to read you more often.

Ahhh yes....may I join ya in this plea ...
I can think of several favs who are missing...
perhaps spring fever has got them
this is a sweet tribute to a rave crave
and i have to take JB's cue and "ditto"
Martie about you being here more..
and like the line in your own poem says
Your replies are as special as your poetry.

It's such a clever innocence with which you show myself to me
As if you know how it feels to never be who you wanted to be

Martie: You are always far kinder to me than I could ever deserve *S*... but such is the nature of gifts... I don't HAVE to deserve the giving... I just say thank you so much! *S*

Marge: Thank you very much! *S* Unless he's just not paying attention, that "missing poet" knows he's missed... even if he pretends not to know this was for him! LOL. And I'm glad to know YOU, dear lady... you DEFINE sweet and thoughtful! *S*

PDV: I could make a list of the missed if that would help? *S* Thank you... it's nice to be read. *S*

JM: Spring fever or the werk monster... something's keeping them away! *S* Either way, they're greatly missed. *S* Thank you, dear friend... you are the queen of special replies. *S* (Now don't be encouraging jellybeans and her ditto machine! LOL)

wandering glider: Thank you! And welcome to Passions!

Paula: I'm ready to make a few hand deliveries... just to make SURE the message is received! LOL. (And I won't even pretend that would be a sacrifice! LOL) Thank you very much!

Sudhir: Thank you, dear poet... and welcome back from the land of the missing. *S*

WOW !! Now I know why I like this place Suthern. Might I add that many poets who go away come back because they miss what they get here. That which is so well displayed in your work

Hello Lady Suthern... know and understand the feeling... strange how we become attached to the words of those we know no other way.  I hope this message finds you well.  Peace!

your so right, it's addiction to read poetry. It's like cuddling up to a great novel, so when you come back for more, and that particular poet isn't there, it's like not getting your fix for the day! haha

jellybeans: Thank you, dear friend. *S* And you can ditto the missing... maybe if he hears it enough, he'll believe. *G*) But you'd better NOT be trying to ditto my heart and elbow your way in... I'd have to hurt you! LOL

wayoutwalt: You sweetie!!! *S* I hope your wife doesn't mind too much... for that comment gets you a SMOOCH! *G*

LS: Thank you very much! *S* This place does offer so much... and best of all, the caring is sincere. *S*

Andrew: Yup... First the words become our friends... and then we get to know the writer. *S* And when we're very, very lucky, we get to know that person better and perhaps even face to face and the friendship grows... and still, we love the words. *S*

Rosebud: And this addict definitely misses her fix... this withdrawal is the pits! LOL. Thank you for reading!

Gentle Spirit: I hope it does... Even so, it's poor repayment for the number of times beautifully written words have touched my heart. *S* Thank you!
