Did something I never do,
Erased a poem, slashed it in two.
Desire drowned then erased,
Scorned in my eyes, it was in bad taste.
Been writing and speaking of heartbreak hues,
Can't tell the truth, so whats the use?
I'm lending my sanity to the wind,
Perhaps on that I can depend.
I'm loosing sight on this battle ground,
Turn me over to lost and found.
Useless ramble, wealthy intense
Only emotion, makes no sense.
So now I'm silence, golden sent
No more words, my will is bent.
Erase me please, I do not care
If you, my demise, will ever bear,
Resposibility for my pain,
Crucifiction through poet's gain.
You openly said you didn't care,
So don't scorn my pain, don't you dare.
And yes, we're here for all to see,
Symbols of pain and promise for free,
But we've all done this, my dearest friend,
Even yourself, for I've reached in.
A poem of pain doesn't martrydom make,
Takes more silence for that strength break.
I bleed here for more than you know,
More ever than I can tell you or even show.
So don't be angry gentle poet sir,
I didn't put this here, your wrath to stir,
But had thoughts that scream and shout,
Don't be angry, pray I, don't shut me out.

Temptress,

I really liked this piece. I wish there was an easy way to remind our friends not to shut us out.

Ditto Dawn, but remind friends moreso not to shut us down ~ keep with the flow and write your little heart out!  Loved it!

Sven,
Hopefully, I can trust now, that no true friend would shut me out. I'm getting there in trust though.   Thanks for reading. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Dawn,
I'm glad you liked it. I think this is an easy enough way to remind them.   Thank you.

Mysteria,
My apologies for not reading as much of your work as when you started. I've been through an actual flow lately within my writing and I tend to get a little wrapped up in it. I don't think our friends shut us down unless we truly let them. In the end, the decision to be up or down in or out lies within us. We can only let people drag us down if we let them.

Gunslinger,
Thank you. I certainly am glad you enjoyed it.

Nanners,

oh, my sweet friendly lady, you just don't realize how much any comment from you about my work is valued for all its worth.  I've learned a lot from you, I still say. I truly am glad that you liked this. Yes, my work seems to have evolved as I've seen other's work here evolve. Its an amazing point to reflect on isn't it? ((HUGS))Thank you.

I always like your writing.  You definitely out did yourself on this one.  I enjoyed the read.  My friend, you have a gift with words.

I think that you have said it well: from our cyber pen comes our soul's quest and though that may differ from another's, it must be deemed equal to any expression and thereby honored.

"I am not now that which I have been."
