with you

as I watch the sky turn
from dark to grey to light of blue
I can't stop myself
from thoughts of you

You float through my mind
like the clouds up high
and I hear myself
wistfully sigh

remembering floods my senses
taking me back to now long ago
wishing somehow
you could know

in my soul our friendship
will forever reside......
this heart still misses you
with love deep inside.

This one got me, SEA.  I've been there too.  Very nicely done.

Melancholy this morning, are we?  Lift up those pretty eyes....dry your tears, for your friend misses you, too....but your friend is smiling at the memories....

I think we have all been there SEA.  Just one of those things that happens in life, when you have that friend that you so desire to be more, but just never can have, b/c you truly see how wonderful that person is in their entirety, not just with infatuation.  Very good poem.

Bob Hope sang "Thanks for the memories" and so do you.

I sing, "give me more to read 'cuz you go, girl."

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.
