Love is Just a Bed

Love is just a bed of glory
Spinning in the world
Waking hearts to loveliness
As depth of love unfurls

Love’s a bed of springtime flowers
Opening to you
Spreading fragrance on your breast
In wet of morning dew

Love’s a coverlet of splendor
Lighting up your face
A canopy of silver stars
Against a sea of space

Love is sheets of silky comfort
Touching on your skin
The seafoam wrapping round your feet
When walking next to him

Love’s of pillow downy soft
To lay your weary head
The clouds of puffy aureate
Adrift in sunset red

Love’s a cradle rocking to the
Rhythms of the sea
Waves and tides and undertows
That brought you here to me

Love’s a quilt of colors
Made with love and stories told
An heirloom cherished by the two
Of principles you hold

Love is all that wakes your heart
To beauty God bestows
And passion is the voice of love
As adoration grows
