Open eyes stare ceiling white,
Detestable comfort in a pillow wish.
Wrestle sheets insomnia's delight.
I bid hello to the morning of my own making
Around 4:45pm yesterday
And now I bid hello
To the morning again at five o clock am.
Open eyes red with tears instead of sleep deprivation.
Detestable pillow wishes aren't comforting.
Slow ache gets fast and then slows again
Maniacal almost is this need to hold my pen
Or tap away at this tapping table.
Desperation to create sense
Out of nonsense ramble and thoughts laid nude.
Music pulses slowly around the room,
And I'm lost and rambling
In Romantic Interludes of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
Listening ears whirling senses,
Twirling with the tantalizing array,
Placed randomly in the changer.
Once I said I've never been written,
And I'd still love to have that luxury.
My voices distant, they entrap me,
Me talking, me conversing and being truthful,
But no one listens on the other end,
And I've fallen to the third page of oblivion.
Lonely here.
In my maniacal moments of random word placement.
Rhyme exhausted, I'm wiping my brow.
This is the time of crossed boundaries,
Where the enemy crossed, raped, pillaged my serene corner of "I love you" confessions
And then reduced my estate to ashes.
So, I'm not supposed to say that,
But its not like I'll mean it tomorrow.
After all
Insomnia has cannabalized me.
I hope I taste good with my dipped in reverie brand of communication.
It would be good to see someone licking their lips for once.

Who needs sleep when there's writing, insomnia, and random acts of love?
Thanks for reading. I'm glad you can relate and that you enjoyed.

I am sitting here not meaning to laugh, but after being up all night? I do KNOW the detestable pillow! And it DOES know the feel of my fist...and I was with you every agonizing minute of the night with you here.
So detailed I'm exhausted.

Actually, don't mean to make light of it. I do know the frustration of insomnia.

Sudhir,
Thank you. I'm so glad you have you reading my work lately.

Serenity,
Geesh...You don't live too far away from Biloxi do you? Maybe you could just come here, and we could commiserate together for a couple of hours! LOL! Thanks for reading.
