So near and yet so far
I sit here wishing on another star
Will I ever find the one
Who sees in me the rising sun?
I know he’s out there somewhere
He alone can mend my heart’s tear

I wonder if he’s wishing too
The same things that I always do
Hoping for the dark to break
Leaving loneliness in its wake
Walking at last in the light
Never again fearing the night

Alone now I am very weak
Praying to find the strength I seek
I looked today in the mirror
Don’t think I’ve ever seen clearer
This woman standing before me
Is the one I used to be

She’s been gone a long while
Yet she welcomed me with a smile
It feels so good to have her back
The missing piece that I lack
Now I am complete again
I wish I knew where she’s been

Oh the stories she could tell
About how from grace she slowly fell
Her trials have been great in number
Tonight she will peacefully slumber
Free from the pain she had to survive
To awaken tomorrow, at last alive

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk into the room...

Beautiful work. I wish I could come to the same declaration.

There is such a yearning to this one!
Nicely done.

sp - Thank you, I think we could all use a little hope every now and then.

Lauren - Thank you!

Sudhir - I am humbled by your reply, my friend.  Thanks.

Temptress - When the time is right, you will.  Inner peace is a journey, not a destination.
