Freedom in Friendship

I feel the desire to be involved
Almost as strong as my hunger
Or thirst for your devotion

Friendship comes in many layers
Am I a friend to you?
A jewel found in the sea

Moments spent together
Are not always grand
My heart has no schedule
No calendar does it keep
It lives in the here and now

Needing your trust
To find its comfort zone
Longing to free you of pain
Finding a treasure within.

I'd like to thank you all for your replies. Up until almost a year ago now I had never known the true meaning of friendship. Now I'm living a happier life than ever surrounded by my friends.
