Paradise Mine

I like early summer morning best
the air is cool and people at rest
sneaking a few moments to start my day
much too short, then again on my way
all around is lush and green
it's not as quiet as it might seem
the birds sing a concert just for me
I search for them so wild and free
the sun feels warm, the sky so blue
colors brilliant, things look new
no dry place to find a seat
dew on grass, wash my feet
I walk through this paradise mine
take in each moment with this wonderful find
when I am here, I make time pass slow
but still too fast, for I must go
must hurry now it's getting late
butterflies flutter as I close the gate
as I leave this eden, there is no sorrow
for morning light will bring me back tomorrow

I'd love to hear more about this Eden, it's lovely
