Doorways

~*Marge Tindal*~

You are a loving friend
of that there is no doubt
The doorway to my IN
when others would walk OUT

A bright red carpet of WELCOME
not the doormat beneath your feet
One who knows just when to ENTER
when others might retreat

The sure and steady ringing
repeatedly announcing your arrival
You are the friend I count most on
my means of sure survival

The revolving doorway of friendship
turns me back to you
Long after mere visitors are gone
you remain a friend so true

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Well I sure don't plan on exiting your revolving door, so get that coffee pot going Marge...as I will always walk through the door for a visit, and a little java jive girl! I may be a lot of things, but fleeting never!  I loved this and was that ever a cute picture you picked too. (big on visuals) Lovely package, and I hope your forever friend loves it as much as I did too.

Very apt description of true friendship - a somewhat remarkable occurance given our times.

This heart is always open !

Mysteria~
A good friend and a hot cup of coffee ...
what more could we ask of life ?
(Well ... maybe cream for our coffee.)
Thanks, gal.

Julian~
True friendship is really a treasure.
It's up to each of us to keep it shining.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply.

Joyce~
Being a true friend is the easiest thing God has ever asked of me.
Open door - open heart - open arms.
Thank you for the reply.

Sudhir~
Easy to be so with friends like yourself.
Take care this day ... you are friend.

Well, I'll come through that door
But that's just for a start
I won't be home until I pass
The doorway to your heart!

Marge~

Of all the doors, and doorways....to be opened, most beautiful and special....indeed friendship should always be that way....expressed lovely as you do....

I'm ringing your bell
but you're not home
so I'll leave a note
in case you phone
then I'll come over
for a cup of tea
and I'll bring friends...
just wait and see!

Standing on the back door steps
Waiting for my turn
I've been knocking now for hours
And my poor knuckles burn!

Love this, Marge! *S* (Whatcha mean the line is at the FRONT door? *G*)

This piece makes me think it may be a secular way of describing Jesus ... the ultimate friend.

So very well done, no matter the object of your work.

Margie girl, can I come in love? Dear heart you know you can waltz in and out of my door anytime you like.

Absolutely wonderful writing from you now why can't I have you here right by my side, you would have no trouble in keeping those wretched docs in order.

You know of course that I LOVE THIS
always you write so beautifully.
