~*~ Dancing To The Light Of The Moon

~*by Mysteria*~

Now I know it sounds silly, like I am a dreamer,
But sometimes I like dancing to the light of the moon.
Like so many others I approach Luna with my lonely heart,
Wishing on a star that a tender love would come soon.

My favorite time of the day, is when dusk is falling.
And the moon’s shadows softly glide over this land.
A tiara of stars over the sky is slowly crawling,
I wish on a star to simply hold someone’s hand.

When the stars and moonlight are looking down upon us,
The ebony sky is illuminated with a glorious silver light,
I pray that someone soon will find and love me,
That special someone, to share the music of the night.

I wish on a star for someone to cherish all my love,
I dream of a soul mate with each new dawn that breaks.
To have someone beside me who will simply adore me,
I wish to know that feeling, when in the morning I awake.

I wish them to see inside my soul; feel the passion there,
Look beyond the package, and feel my heart, empty and cold.
See me for who I really am, take the time to look deep…
I always wear my heart on my sleeve, at least so I am told.

I live for my favorite time of the day, when dusk is falling.
And the moon’s shadows softly glide over the land.
The music of the night plays to a tiara of stars crawling,
Once again, I make a wish, to simply hold someone’s hand.

Mysteria~
You are gracing us with the loveliest images -
and topping them off with words that fairly dance across the page.

Beautiful !
Dance on - sweet lady - dance on !

As you know, I really enjoy art that compliments poetry. This time, your words compliment the art...truly a lovely poem!

The art and the poetry are simply stunning, Mysteria.  This is so lovely!!  I share in your wishes.  I think a lot of us probably do.  Excellent writing from your heart.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

Marge ~*~ Thank you - quite often I pick the picture - put my mind inside of it, and out comes the words - so I am glad it works sometimes.  Thank you very much for stopping by.

Poet deVine ~*~ I love art and poetry together I always have, and it is the chicken or the egg with me, whichever comes first.  Thank you for reading this piece.

Lone Wolf ~*~ I wish, I wish, I wish...so far, zilch!  Must be an age thingee.  Good luck to you too, if you are wishing on a star and thank you for reading.
