Wishing a Smile

Sometimes it’s enough
just to scale the day,
hills are steep mountains,
downhill, a distant dream.

To wonder if tomorrow
will bring obstacles unknown,
is to worry needlessly
about what we can’t control.

Wandering in a forest
of our own darkened thoughts,
shuts out the rest of the world,
including those we love most.

So, though I’m not immune
to clouds of impending doom,
I’m dancing up Mt. Everest,
just wishing a smile for you

You know, Corinne, I really needed to read this today - I've been in one of my darkened moods, shutting out everyone around me the past few days...  Thank I'll go change that right now...

Thank You

Michael -

So glad this helped, been noticing this trend in myself over the weekend, withdrawing from everyone, hate it when I get like that, and it gets harder and harder to pull out of it if it is allowed to continue.

Bob - *smile*!

Lone Wolf - thank you!

Sven - yeah, I'd have to be in PRETTY good shape to do that, wouldn't I? *G*

Marge, - I know, not my typical kind of poem, but wanted to do this for someone here.

Corinee...
So true.  I try not to fall into the black doom agian, but still stumble into there.
So nice though that it is not as often, and getting less and less.
