The Patience Of The Stones

~*Marge Tindal*~

Mountains in the making
layered in the bloodshed of ancient times
One had to lay a good story down to build the mountain
Now unearthed through the erosion of time
the mountainside in slide revealing ...

What was forged in the making
cannot be forever hidden
Shame ... cannot be forever blamed
but we must understand the patience of the stones
In the shifting and unveiling
that which the moon-over spirits would have us know

Not the way the history books would have us believe
for the true stories were written
at the base of the mountain
then compounded layer after layer

We need only understand the patience of the stones
in sacred-keep of legends now revealed for sharing

Look unto the mountains - these hills of yesterday
The seeking path to tomorrow's peace is mapped
in understanding the patience of the stones

Wonderful premise, beautifully woven...I am thinking that paring it down could make it extremely powerful...not fewer lines, but lines of fewer words, leaving only the essential.  Now how to do this...find someone good at 'less is more' or 'minimalism'

Your subject, your premise, that wonderful title are well worth giving this every bit of focus it needs.  I love it!

The shame will be revealed through the patience.  As with everything hidden, it always comes back to haunt you, and this will all be discovered in time...only a matter of time.  Marge, your presentation and your choice of words (which also are to perfection by the way), show the heartfelt thought you put into this piece, into the home library this goes.  Thank you for writing, it truly touches my spirit.

Favorite line: One had to lay a good story down to build the mountain.

Thank you for simply enjoying what I write
in the manner I write it.

VAS~
You are forgiven for your lack of understanding.

Michael~
Thank you for your thoughtful reply.
There is great wisdom among the layers
of the mountain ...

My friend ... you know I sit the Vision Quest
for these gems to fill the vessel of my sharing.
Thank you for your understanding of this piece.

Wonderfully written and illustrated my friend.  If only those stones could talk and tell the stories of the things they've seen . . . then we'd all know the way it really was.  Great writing!!

Oh, Sweet, sweet friend~
They do speak in volumes ...
through the spirits of the Quested Visions.
Ancient offerings brought to light ...
shared among friends.

Thank you for feeling the messages they tell.
