The sweet aroma of gardenia
So sensually it fills the room
It's perfume so exquisite
So easily it makes me swoon

The glow on your face
By the firelight
On a sheepskin rug
Is where we'll stay all night

On the mantle stands two glasses
Beside the crystal jar
Alongside is a bottle of red - pinot noir

As I stand before you
You take hold of my hand
As you whisper to me
What you have planned

The scent of pine I can smell
From your gorgeous aftershave
How on earth do you expect me to behave?
Such a smell brings my senses to the fore
As you tenderly lower me down on the floor

So much love to be made
By the fire's warm glow
There's so many things
I want you to know

How tender you are
As I respond to your touch
Feelings such as these
Could never be too much

As you gaze down on me
And our fingers interlace
I know that there couldn't possibly be
Any better place

Your sweet kisses warm my soul
As my heart starts beating fast
If only our time together
Could forever last

My hands caress your shoulders
As I draw you into me
As we're about to go to heaven
Where our passions will be set free

Such love we have made
As you envelop me in your arms
Oh, how soon again I'll surrender
To your manly charms

this is very sensual, I guess some might call it profane out of context. But I like the ability to write anything with this much enthusiasm.

"warm my soul" indeed!

A sweet and gentle passion, nicely captured.

Sue,

Lovely imagery, softly sensual, very romantic.  He's a lucky man.  Thank you.

Thank you all for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed my poem.  Am I allowed to blame the glass of white wine I was drinking at the time for this piece of writing or just my vivid imagination??
Kind regards, Sue.
