Real Friendship. ~~Daniel J D~~ Seen, heard, it all How friendship shapes us all Identified, and experienced I have What is perceived as real friendship to have Friendship, is simple as an expression Friendship, is a game we put in motion It is the nerve in us to say we really care However, deep within we have nil to share Friendship is a point of view from our inside Friendship is us looking to our outside Now let me take you to real friendship Stand by an elm, wrap your arms around Take off your shoes, walk through the meadow Stop your route, and call on the horse feeding Spread your hands full of grain for the lost lamb Leave the annoying fly alone, listen to it buzzing Gather the seedlings beneath the tree, and plant them carefully Enjoy the sounds of the birds without annoyance Tell yourself that they are no distrubance Speak to the grasshopper, see it listen joyfully Watch the flow of the brook, as it carries the fallen leaves Hold the hands of the destitute, share a meal Seek shelter among the poor or the damned, is not that real Listen to the sounds of loneliness, do not ask questions Find answers, let the freedom of your senses guide your notions When you throw crumbs to the dog, do it because you love the animal Do not dismiss the child that needs to be heard,that is how you learn When you promise, retain your word with openess of heart In the cold of winter lend your coat to the homeless When you wake feeling worn, from having helped others Find the quickest way out to reach out to others in need That is real friendship! Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love |

Friendship is kind, friendship is true friendship is loving, no matter what we do. Friendship is taking the time to share and not being afraid to show that we care....... Your poem exemplifies what the true meaning of friendship is Daniel, and I think no one could ask to have a better friend than you. Beautiful...  Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s* |
