these dewdrops
forever settling
in the corners of my eyes

they come
with the changing season
when the pollen decorates the air
or so i hear

but i sometimes wonder
if the stifled inner demons
have begun to quietly, slowly
emerge
little by little
until the dam be broken
and the great escape

i cant help but wonder
of their origin
of their perpetual existance--
and persistance

are these little tears
the weeping of my soul
the truth i try so to hide

for now
lets say
its the decorative air
something in the wind
the change of weather

but one day
they'll know--
wont they...

when the tears
are as real as my face

then they'll know...

Hi dg,
Interesting, very interesting.
(Never occurred to me to think of my own weepy allergies this way.)
But yes, I think you have demons . . . something's in there for sure!
Anyway, I like the progression of this and the darkness.

This does indeed cause one to ponder....

There are times that words in a song, a scene in a movie, or seeing someone express great emotion can bring tears to me even though there is nothing specific I can connect them to...demons? Perhaps..regret? Who knows? I'll blame it on pollen....

Nice to see you posting again! It used to be that illnesses were blamed on demons. Now we are learning that the physical is often a manifestation of the psychological. Nice insights here.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

This is intriguing writing.  Well done.  I think a lot of us are pondering your thoughts here.
