Tomorrow is forever and today…
Is only but a blink from what we know
as yesterday...
The years will pass while we look on...
A lifetime isn’t all that long...
And then one day we know
our time is through...
Love lives beyond tomorrow,
if it’s true...

The smiles that pass between
two lovers eyes...
Are kept within their souls,
immortal as the star-filled skies...
Within true hearts an ageless need,
requires time on which to feed...
And grows until it cannot be contained...
The need, beyond tomorrow,
will remain...

Life holds no guarantees regarding time...
Which forfeits it’s possession of our lives,
that we define...
We choose the hours,
plan the days...
While knowing time will have it’s ways...
And not until the end, we realize...
Our love, beyond tomorrow,
never dies...

So, time is not forever, or today...
is never lost when love becomes
the only game we play...
Somewhere that love will live again...
Again become the need within...
And grow until it’s time has come
to pass...
Beyond tomorrow,
love will ever last...

Live...Love...Be grateful for both!!

Sunny,

Certainly words of both wisdom and truth here.  I personally thank you for this fine poem.  Sunny, your poetry always comes from a kind and gentle heart.  You touch us in places that we already know, but much too often forget.  I applaud you for this one, my friend.  Thank you.  Please write to me when you get the chance.

My best,
Michael

Oh Sunny, this is so wonderful, and this part touched me the most.

"So, time is not forever, or today...
is never lost when love becomes
the only game we play...
Somewhere that love will live again...
Again become the need within...
And grow until it’s time has come
to pass...
Beyond tomorrow,
love will ever last..."

God I hope it's true.
