Between The Lines

She knows no other way to look at life at past or on ahead
And, takes each wish she makes and dream she dreams to white
She knows no other way to ease the darkness that falls upon her
So, on her paper lined with blue you'll find the heartache that she writes...

She spends moments from the day that's painfully touched her heart
And, somehow she finds the words by night to ease her pain
She sits aside candle light or the moons gentle glow
And between the lines she writes of all her rain...

Between the lines you can find her handwritten prayer
And, deep inside she hopes her words are clearly said
She waits for God to read what she's been crying about
And, just maybe his next move will be what he just read...

With just the little light that she is provided with
She stares at the shadows dancing around
She takes in the loneliness the room presents her with
And, writes of the memories the moment has once again found...

Like the blue lines she writes upon is like the color of her heart
But, she knows the blue can be bolder than it appears
So, she writes between the lines that are stretched out before her
And, waits for peace's promise to land ever near...

She sits impatiently and she silently cries to the stars
And, she writes while the tears fall warmly down her face
Between fine lines she scribbles words that haunt the hour
And, she searches for her once in a lifetime walk with grace...

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps

There are lines of this that move me, there are lines of this that lose me...either way, welcome to a new day.
