I've been gone for 5 days visiting my daughter.
Did ya miss me?

FFfffffppppppppppt, ffffffffffppppppppt, fffffffffffppppppppppt!
Oh, you who have left me in the dust...
How might I regain my footing
how might I capture hold on the beauty you have left for me
when I can barely stand and reach to grasp
as you speed forward
sprinkling gems hither and yon.

Tis like chasing after paper money in the wind
or dandelion fluff borne upon a breeze
or droplets released from ague’s sneeze.

How, too, might I clear my vision
that’s been blurred from the multitude before me?
Oh, you crafty, talented creatures
you have woven so well...
please, please wait for me to subdue your words
that I might capture the essence of the beauty you have strewn here
upon this fertile soil
so willingly sharing your hearts
for all who perchance by seeking your gifts.

Thanks all for reading and for saying you missed me, you are too sweet!  There are some poems down the board that are from my visit with my daughter:  Fisgard-a B.C. lighthouse and Regatta of Greenlake.  There's also one in spiritual journeys called "Ever In You."  It's from the rest stop on my journey home.  Hope you can find them if you wish.

VAS, Liked this alot- nicely put and an enjoyable read - sorry to be so out of the main stream but what is ague??

Seems vacations always put us in a better frame of mind for writing- it must be the different air especially when around water.  Panne

ague, Panne, is chills and fever associated with flu or malaria

I know this word only because I'm a crossword puzzle buff
